Washington, DC, The American Society of Hematology (ASH), a Washington, DC-based association of physicians and scientists committed to conquering blood diseases, seeks a highly creative, team-player to join a fast-growing marketing team.
 
The Marketing Operations Specialist will report to the Senior Manager, Marketing, and work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager on developing and deploying email campaigns that align with the Society’s digital marketing efforts. The Marketing Operations Specialist will also be responsible for frequent monitoring and reporting of email performance and executing drip campaigns through Salesforce Marketing Cloud. This role will serve as the subject matter expert for email marketing and will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to develop targeted campaigns that maximize opportunities for cross-promotion of the Society’s programs and initiatives. In addition, this role includes oversight of strategy and logistics for the ASH booth and other experiential marketing initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE SKILL REQUIRED (Minimum education and experience needed to perform the job adequately)
 

College degree, preferably in Marketing or Communications. A minimum of three year’s work experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills and the ability to coordinate among vendors, internal clients, and upper management.
Strong proofreading and editing skills required.
Prior experience working with email marketing automation platforms including Salesforce Marketing Cloud , preferably in similar role.
Proven work experience in growing, engaging with, and analyzing the performance of a large email marketing database.
Knowledgeable in Google Analytics, HTML/CSS, A/B Testing, a plus
Experience in coordinating and supporting event marketing logistics, including event collaterals such as printed marketing materials and giveaways, shipping booth equipment, staffing and training booth staff.
Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to handle multiple requests from stakeholders, competing priorities, and frequently changing deadlines.
Must have excellent customer service skills, time management, and attention to detail.

 
 

ASH has a hybrid work environment, with core in-office days for all ASH staff on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and telework on Mondays and Fridays for eligible positions. The Society’s headquarters is in Washington, DC, and is within walking distance of several Metro stations on the Blue/Orange/Silver and Red lines.
