Fort Worth, Texas, Job Summary: The Marketing Specialist strategically utilizes multi-channel media and marketing tools to advance TCU’s brand, messaging and visibility among target audiences in alignment with the university’s strategic plan and goals. Primary areas of focus include developing content, executing marketing strategy, and managing partner relationships. A content marketing-savvy strategist, the Marketing Specialist plays a key role in identifying, crafting, and promoting reputation-defining and audience-appropriate content for assigned projects. Duties & Essential Job Functions: 1. Assists in developing marketing and content strategy plans for assigned units/initiatives to advance strategic goals of TCU and its sub-brands. 2. Serves as the project lead and marketing counsel for assigned units by building productive partnerships and translating unit needs into marketing deliverables. 3. Liaises with the web and graphic design teams to execute projects and achieve goals. 4.

Works with the Project Manager and within the project management system to ensure on-time delivery. 5. Supports the Director of Marketing in facilitating external branding, filming, and photography requests. 6. Writes high-quality, targeted and coordinated content rooted in the university’s strategic priorities; continually integrates and expresses the TCU brand identity across multiple platforms. 7. Serves as a member of assigned groups and contributes to the development and distribution of key brand messages and content that aligns with short- and long-term marketing goals. 8. Guides content strategy activities for select web projects, including identifying audiences, mapping desired user flow, advising on site map structure and setting KPIs. 9.

Assists with tracking campaign performance and creating reports. 10. Performs regular research on marketing trends, emerging technologies and target audiences. 11. Supports marketing-related initiatives such as email drip campaigns and environmental graphic messaging. 12. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Education & Experience : • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, public relations, communications or related field of study. • Three years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Education & Experience: • Experience in a higher education or marketing agency setting.

Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training: • None Preferred Licensure, Certification, and/or Specialized Training: • Google Analytics certification or training. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Skilled at writing and editing with demonstrated proficiency in the use of AP style. • Ability to “write to an audience” and adopt the style, tone and voice of TCU’s various content types. • Skilled at managing projects and able to work across multiple divisions and on multiple projects. • Ability to build and manage productive relationships with senior leaders, peers and vendors. • Knowledge of content marketing concepts and branding principles. • Skilled at analyzing data, reporting results and making informed recommendations for improved efficiency and performance. • Ability to confidently recommend creative approaches and solutions to problems. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements (With or Without Accommodations): • Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information.

• Able to speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and general communication. • Hearing ability for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions. • Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting. • Lifting and moving objects and equipment up to 10 lbs. Work Environment: • Work is indoors and sedentary and is subject to schedule changes and/or variable work hours. • There are no harmful environmental conditions present for this job. • The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
