River Falls, Wisconsin, Appointment Type: Academic Staff-Fixed Term Renewable FTE: 100 Position Summary: The Marketing Specialist will support Continuing Education (CE) by developing and implementing marketing projects for CE programs and services, as well as other strategic academic programs as promoted in coordination with CE. The position will focus specifically on strategies that increase enrollment in credit, graduate and non-credit programs from non-traditional student populations including adult learners, graduate students and returning students, as well as youth. The position will work as part of the institutional University Communications and Marketing ( UCM ) team and will report to the Director of University Communications and Marketing, with a dotted reporting line to the Director of Continuing Education. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Qualifications Required: A bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field 3 or more years full-time work experience in marketing or related field Experience in website content management Working knowledge of MS Office 365, Adobe Creative Suite, HTML editors, and CMS systems. Demonstrated understanding and implementation of social media marketing ( SMM ) Ability to apply analytics to evaluate campaign success (e. g. , MS Excel and Google Analytics skills) Ability to work as a key team member Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Qualifications Preferred: A master’s degree in a related field 5-8 years’ work experience in marketing or related field, preferably in post-secondary adult education Ability to conduct and/or assess market research on customer groups and trends in the marketplace regarding program potential as well as competitive analysis Understanding of identity and brand standards and demonstrated ability to adhere to standards Understanding of strategic messaging and demonstrated ability to adhere to strategy Excellent time management skills Highly organized and detail-oriented Possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills Candidates must have experience, and be able to work, with a diverse population Commitment to professional development and the goals of continuing education Special Instructions to Applicants: Applicants are required to apply online.
