Everett, Washington, Position Summary:
The Sports Marketing Specialist is responsible for promoting Snohomish County as a sports destination by developing, planning, organizing, and overseeing sports tourism marketing and promotion programs. The position is primarily for social media. content, creation, and media relations. The Sports Marketing Specialist reports to the Executive Director.

The Snohomish County Sports Commission, a 501(c)3 organization, is the sports destination management organization for Snohomish County, Washington. The organization consists of 3 total staff members and 11 board members. Our mission is to enhance Snohomish County’s economy, image as a premier sports destination, and way of life for its residents by attracting diverse regional, national, and international athletic events and facilities, assisting existing athletic events, supporting development of new athletic events and facilities, and marketing recreational and leisure activities to athletic event organizers and participants.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Manage the social media presence of the SCSC and responsible for all aspects of social media including, but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter YouTube and Linkedin
•Create editorial calendar of content for all SCSC social media channels
•Manage and executive content calendar and content marketing campaigns; manage the creation process, scheduling and development of these campaigns including editing of graphics and photos.
•Write and edit copy for a variety of materials generated to support the brand marketing and support the sports events, including but not limited to social media, blogs, sales materials, collaterals, and fact sheets.
•Participates in writing press releases.
•Participates in providing content for journalists, vendors and influencers including photo and video content as needed
•Coordinates SCSC website and ensures website content is consistent with SCSC marketing and style.
•Support ongoing tracking and reporting of digital content performance
•Analyze KPIs to continually enhance our content while moving our marketing strategy forward.
•Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred
One year of professional level work experience in marketing, communications and social media or related field.
Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, WordPress, Microsoft Office Suite and social media management tools are preferred
Strong communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Exceptional writing ability, including feature story writing
Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
Interpersonal skills conducive to working collaboratively with various stakeholders
Detail-oriented, responsible, and dependable self-starter
Ability to work independently and as a team player
Minimal physical demands required such as the ability to lift 30 lbs.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, travel, and holidays are required.
